Placement Cell

The students of Netaji Mahavidyalaya have been placed in several organizations all over the world. Some are as follows:

Approximately 200 students of Department of Bengali are placed in different jobs, mainly as teachers. Few are appointed as lecturers.

On an average 25-35% students of the Honours course and 10 - 20 % of the General courses of Department of Botany are placed in different Jobs.

Above 70% students of the department of Chemistry are placed in different academic and other related jobs.

Many talented students passed form department of Commerce and are placed in different jobs

Many significant placements from Department of Economics. Some are

Mr. Utpal Kumar Dey is placed as a university faculty at NEHU.

Mr. Dilip Kumar Rana is placed as a university faculty at Tripura University.

Sri Tuhin Kumar Tah, MBA is placed as the Deputy Manager (HRD) at Indraprastha Gas Limited , New Delhi.

Tibul Haque is working as a lecturer in a college.

Sri Ashis Kumar Pal working as a part-time lecturer in a college under Calcutta University.

Approximately, 50 students of Department of English are placed in different jobs, mainly as teachers. Mr. Jayanta Ghosh, who is presently a part-time teacher of the Department, qualified in the NET-2006 (July).

About 80 % to 90% students of the Honours Course and about 40 % to 50 % students of the General Course of Department of Geography are placed in different jobs

Approximately, 25 students of Department of History are placed in different jobs, specially as teachers

A large number of students of Department of Mathematics are placed in different jobs, specially as teacher

About 50% graduates produced from the department of Physics are placed in different govt. Jobs, particularly as school teachers. It is remarkable that Sri Saiful Alam Mallick, one out-going student of the session 2000-2003 has now been working as a Jr. Research Scientist at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Calcutta since 2006

Many significant placements from the department of Zoology, some are

i) One student of the department was appointed teacher in college.

ii) One student has been serving abroad after obtaining Ph.D. degree.
iii) Six students have become doctors.
iv) A good number of students have been serving as Assistant Head Master, Assistant Teachers in different institutions.
v) A number of students have been serving as laboratory assistant in Arambagh Hatcheries Private Ltd., Arambagh.
